About Us

Better Together Foundation is a non-profit 501C(3) organization that was founded in 2024 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The concept and core values are rooted in the belief that technology has fundamentally changed our world. And with that, our communities have changed and grown immensely.  A community is no longer limited to one geographic location, your hometown or current town; our communities are much larger now and can more simply be defined by the people who make up the community. Better Together was founded to unite the communities of our friends, family members, coworkers, and neighbors to enrich the lives and to serve the greater good of those in need or hurting within and adjacent to our networks.

The foundation was established on four core values or pillars including: creating Better Homes, Better Education, Better Mental Health, and Better Physical Health. Each year, several projects within each pillar will be selected to serve our mission.

We fund and take on projects in any area in which our recurring donors have a presence or footprint within the community. Our primary initial operating areas include the greater Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Toledo, Detroit, and Bradford PA regions, but we will not be bound to these geographic locations only.  A board of 5 directors are serving to guide the organization to fulfill our mission. The founding board of directors include: Taylor O’Brien (founder and President), Morgan O’Brien (Vice President), Abbey Sprecher (Treasurer), Sarah Kennedy (Secretary), and Dr. James Bruce.
